Package Day- eBay Haul

I have a few thrifting hauls to share, but I guess I'll upload those separately.

The dupe to the Coastal Scents Eclipse palette, 15 concealer palette for just under $5. I'll do a review on this one later. Loving it so far!

My 32 brush set that is supposedly made of goat hair, purchased for less $10. I want to do an overview of the brushes, but I don't know when I'll get around to that. They're all very soft though.
An impulse purchase made on eBay. A pair of yellow dangle-y earrings for 11 cents. I guess I wasn't wasting that much money..haha

A pack of 200 silver jump rings or something like that for about a dollar. Haha, I'm planning on doing some jewelry DIYs in the future as I may have mentioned before. Hehe.

And lastly a dupe for the Coastal Scents 66 Lip Palette for about $7. So excited to play with this! :)

eBay 88 Warm Palette Review

Like I mentioned in a past haul, I am going to do an in-depth review on this $9 palette.

Packaging:

Arrived with ingredients on the box, quite similar to those of Coastal Scents, except there is dimethicone and in their 88 palette, and kaolin in mine. The palette itself is shiny, kind of cheapo plastic, and leaves fingerprints but it's okay. It was wrapped in TONS and tons of bubble wrap too, so nothing was broken.

Marked W88 representing Warm 88.
And this is the inside of the palette, it comes with a mirror and 2 sponge applicators (which I may or may not use, we'll see). It comes with a plastic sheet over top of the shadows too to protect them. It's a bit hard to take off, but I'm going to keep it.

SWATCHES
-My skin colour is around NC20/NC25, swatched without base and only one swipe for each colour. Each row will be divided into 2 photos, the first with the first 5 shades and the second with the remaining 6. Whoopee!!!

Row 1:

Starting from the left to the right,
1) Your basic matte white, but this one wasn't very pigmented. Boo!
2) A shimmery white, but it was kinda sheer
3) Another shimmery white, but it had less shimmer than shade 2
4) A white shade in the pan, but when swatched, virtually no pigmentation
5) A shimmery peachy white (it might be hard to tell from the photo, but it's definitely peachy in real life!)

Sorry for the slightly washed out swatches on this photo, but again from left to right,
6) A matte soft pink
7) Matte light peach, SO SO chalky
8) A very shimmery light peach
9) It shows up brown, but it's actually a light peachy brown shimmer
10) A matte brown with NO pigmentation :(
11) A matte medium peachy peachy brown

Row 2:

1) A chalky, very matte light peach
2) A shimmery light taupe colour, although it looks quite white in the swatch
3) Very shimmery white
4) A matte white with a yellow undertone
5) Matte white with a peachy undertone

6) A light mauve shimmer <3
7) Shows up as light peach in the pan, but it's not very pigmented when swatched
8) A light peach shimmer
9) Light pinky peach shimmer
10) A nice matte medium brown, this one would be great for filling in my brows
11) Sorry, ran out of room hehe....so it's underneath the rest- a deep orange/peach shimmer

Row 3:

1) A white with a satin finish
2) Metallic silver
3) Almost metallic peach colour (note: all the metallic finishes in the palette are SO pigmented. Favourites.)
4) This buttery yellow shimmer
5) Slightly chalky, matte light peach

Hehe...
6) Matte lavender pink, this one is really pretty
7) Barely pigmented pink colour.... you can't see it but I promise it's there!
8) Same with this one, a barely pigmented peach colour
9) Gorgeous metallic copper red
10) Matte terracotta peach...reminds me of the flowerpots haha
11) A nice warm brown shimmer

Row 4:

1) Icky chalky matte white
2) Sheer shimmery silver
3) Metallic peachy gold, used this one in a look the other day and am LOVING this shade all over the lid
4) Shimmery gold with some kind of green undertone? I can't describe it, but this one is very limey-pretty
5) Wonderful metallic gold

Hehe, my hand looks funny in these swatches...
6) Matte rosy brown, not pigmented
7) Matte peach colour, there are sparkles in the pan but they don't really show up
8) Matte light brown
9) A sheer soft pink shimmer
10) Light matte taupe
11) Warm golden brown shimmer, this is a great everyday shade, mmm mmm.

Moving on to Row 5:

1) This matte bone shade, between an off white/beige?
2) A satin medium grey, another of those great smokey eye colours
3) It's a matte olive, it looks okay in the swatch but it is quite sheer
4) Chalky matte light peach, not showing up well against my skin tone
5) Matte light peach
6) A satin taupe? This is not a dupe for the MAC satin taupe, but it is a taupe with a satin finish haha
7) A matte camel colour
8) Light orange peach, more of a satin to light shimmer finish
9) Metallic deep rose, another LOVELY shade
10) A matte warm brown
11) Another matte brown, but less pigmented

Row 6:

1) Looking very grey from the photo, but this is just a warm teal blue with a lovely golden shimmer. One of my favourite shades from the whole palette!
2) A metallic silver
3) Very shimmery olive green shade, love these kind of shades!
4) Matte orange peach, not pigmented...
5) Super chalky light peachy orange shade

Mmm...
6) Oh my BEAUTIFUL shimmery plum with a gold shimmer. <3 <3 <3
7) Matte brown, a bit chalky too :(
8) Very shimmery, almost metallic deep orange peach, slightly coppery
9) Light metallic rose, the swatch does not do it justice :(
10) Pigmented warm matte brown, another great brow filler shade
11) It was a matte brown I thought would be amazing from the pan, but disappointed me

And now for Row 7.. haha! :

1) A shimmery silver
2) A darker smokier gray shade
3) Lovely matte chocolate brown, mmm mmmm.
4) Chalky non pigmented peach
5) Chalky light peachy pink

6) Shimmery rosy taupe, this one is another of my FAVOURITES
7) Another staple, warm shimmery brown
8) Metallic orange-gold-LOVE
9) Satin deep plum, its beauty cannot be conveyed in a swatch.
10) Matte plum with a stronger red undertone
11) Not too pigmented, but a matte dark brown shade

And the LAST 8th Row:

1) Dark shimmery charcoal gray, another perfect SMOKEY eye colour
2) Metallic deep olive, mmmm.
3) A matte soft black, it's not the blackest black, but it's nice to have in the palette. Wish there were 2 blacks though, one a black black, and one a softer black.
4) Matte brown with a very strong orange undertone
5) A deeper metallic peachy pink!

Probably my favourites here...
6) Shimmery taupe brown :)
7) Metallic bronze, SO MUCH LOVE for this one. I had this in another look under my lower lashline and I loved the look of it.
8) A bright coral peach, with strong golden shimmer, very pretty
9) A satin finish plum, brighter than the other plums in the palette
10) Very pigmented soft warm brown
11) Slightly sheer, but I like it that way, matte taupe brown

:) That's all the swatches, guys!

I guess you can see, there are some misses but some real HITS in this palette as well.

Overall:
For being only around $9, and having the chance to explore 88 shades that are perfect for everyday use, I would say that it is still a good deal. Would I repurchase? No, but that's because I think it will take me a really long time to finish this palette up. This palette doesn't really compare to more high end shadows, like Make Up For Ever or Nars, or what have you...but I personally aren't TOO picky. The metallic shadows are beautiful in this palette, so pigmented and wonderfully shimmery. The shimmers are all pigmented and smooth too...the problems I have with the shades are mostly the lighter ones, which come across chalky or aren't pigmented.. but OVERALL
I recommend this palette!
If you have any questions, leave them down below and I'll get back to you :)

Package Day- eBay Haul

I loveeeee getting packages from eBay. You never know when they're going to come and you get such great steals!
The first thing I got was this set of earrings...

For only $2 dollars. A bunch of them are duochrome, which I absolutely ADORE.

I also grabbed a bunch of vintage clip ons, 10 pairs to be exact, for a little less than $4. *Insert picture below:
The only pair that I didn't really like would be the purple/black/red ones that you see in the back. They seem like some kind of polymer/clay material...euch :I I absolutely love the ones with turquoise stones though and the gold shells. Even the obnoxiously large purple ones!

And last but not least...my favourite part of my haul... an eBay dupe for the infamous Coastal Scents 88 Warm Palette for only $9 dollars! Here's a quick pic....but I'll do a more in-depth review of it in a later post.

Hope you liked my haul!

Package Day- eBay and Etsy Haul

Online shopping can become quite an addiction. My first package arrived marked as used clothing, and to be honest, I didn't remember ordering it until I had opened it up...

That's right. A Victoria's Secret nude strapless bra, right off eBay for $6. Not too shabby, I would say, considering this style retails for around 50 dollars. I think everyone should invest in a nude strapless bra for all those summer and nighttime dresses when you don't want your straps showing. I also think it's a more versatile colour than black, because you can't see it through lighter coloured fabrics!

And my next package is from Etsy, dealing with my obsession for bracelet making, and a newfound love for DIY projects. Arriving in a large yellow envelope...

Lots of coloured embroidery floss! This envelope-full was only a dollar, but shipping cost another $2. I would still say it was well worth it. Check out Etsy for some good deals on crafty supplies, too.

Well that's all for my haul today, stay tuned for more !
